When can I return an item?
It's okay to change your mind! You can return ANY item to Astronomia at any time within the first 30 days of ownership for a full refund. We just ask that you keep all the packaging and manuals and send or bring it back in saleable condition.
If your item develops a fault during its warranty period, simply bring or send it back to us and we promise to sort it out as quickly as possible. Usually, faulty items are immediately replaced from stock, but if your instrument requires a repair and will be away for a while, we'll try to loan you something to use in the meantime. Please note that Astronomia retains the option of either repairing or replacing any item at its sole discretion.
How do I return an item?
First you must request a return authorisation by e-mailing mail@astronomia.co.uk with a description of any fault, your date of purchase and invoice number, and the serial number of the item you are returning, if it has one. We will then arrange for your item to be collected from you. You must pack it well, preferably in its original packaging.
If my item develops a similar fault several times, can I have a new one?
Of course! If your item has to be repaired more than twice, we'll replace it rather than inconvenience you a third time!
I want to upgrade my telescope...
We always want our customers to have the BEST instrument for their needs. So, as long as you have the packaging and manuals, and your current instrument is in salesable condition (fair wear and tear through reasonable use is accepted), we'll accept it back at any point in your first year of ownership for a full refund against an instrument of greater value to be purchased from Astronomia. By 'full refund', we mean that we will refund the lesser of either the current retail price of the instrument, or the amount you originally paid. If you've lost or thrown away the box and/or manual, we will deduct just £50 from the price of the instrument.
